Karnataka to ink 3 MoUs with Infosys to achieve NEP objectives
In order to give priority to Skill development among the students as per the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the Department of Higher Education in Karnataka will soon ink three MoUs with IT major Infosys.
Narayan said, “These MoUs will be related to utilising the ‘Infosys Springboard’, which comprises over 3,000 courses of skill development for college students, ‘Campus Connect’ for digital Learning of college faculty and professional guidance for students and donation of 15,000 debonded computers to colleges from Infosys.”
Infosys Springboard is an integrated digital Literacy platform comprising effective digital learning solutions, technology-based life skill courses, gamification, live classes, certification, makers lab, carrer guidance etc.
Introduction of gesture computing and biometrics for smart classrooms, utilising virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for training, linking learning data with performance outcome, utilising gamification and design principles to create healthy competition among students, utilising automation and robotic tools to create content will be part of the MoUs, he said.

Aapda Mitra Scheme
Aapda Mitra scheme will soon be launched in 350 districts of India by <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/national-disaster-management-authority”>National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Under this scheme, more than one lakh young volunteers from 350 districts will be trained. So far, 5500 Aapda Mitra and 5500 Aapda Sakhi have been trained, who can extend help in case of disaster or natural calamity like flood in remote places. All these volunteers would get life Insurance by the government.
Union <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched Amul Honey on September 28, 2021. Amul Honey is a product of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd.
This product was launched under cooperation with the National Bee Board (NBB).
During the event, Tomar emphasized on importance ofNational Beekeeping and Honey Missionin increasing the income of small farmers.
National Beekeeping and Honey Missionis being implemented in India to double the income of farmers or beekeepers through beekeeping.

Scientists have excavated the remains of an ancient eagle near a barren, dried-up lake in Southern Australia.
This majestic bird is believed to be 25 million years old when the land of southern Australia was teemed with lush forests.
For eagle, this part of the land was teemed with helpless prey.
It was found near Australias Lake Pinpa, which is now-deserted.
Discovery includes a whopping 63 well-kept fossils which also comprises the entirety of the eagles skeleton.
Koala-hunting eagle was slightly smaller and leaner than the wedge-tailed eagle. However, its the largest eagle known in Australia, found about 25 million years ago. They are known as wedge-tail, or wedgies in Australia. They had a broad-winged bird of prey, similar to size of bald eagle of America.
