Realty sector may reap benefits of Kengeri Metro, expressway
The south-western extension of Purple Line and the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway are likely to boost the real estate sector, especially projects along Mysuru Road.
While the Mysuru Road-Kengeri Metro corridor will commence operations soon, the expressway is likely to be ready by October 2022.
Though many real estate firms take advantage of Metro connectivity, only a few have tied up with BMRCL. While Embassy Group is funding Kadubeesanahalli and Bettahalasur stations under Metros innovative financing concept, Prestige Group is funding Kodibisanahalli station.

SVEEP Workshop by ECI
The of India (ECI) geared up the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Consultation Workshop.
The SVEEP program is the flagship application of The Election Commission of India for voter education & awareness.
The new voters would ship a personalised letter from the Commission when sending out their Voter ID Cards.
The package deal would include a Voter Guide for new voters, a congratulatory letter and a pledge for moral voting.
E-Shram Portal by Labour Minister
The Ministry of Labour & EMPLOYMENT has launched e-Shram Portal to hyperlink Unorganised Workers with social security schemes being carried out by the Central & State Governments.
Highlights:
Minister for Labour and Employment, Bhupender Yadav has launched the portal where 38 crore Unorganised Workers can register themselves and in turn benefit from various social security schemes.
Every unorganised employee who registers on the eSHRAM Portal will get Rs two Lakh Accidental Insurance cover. (Rs two Lakh on dying or permanent incapacity and Rs 1.0 lakh on partial disability).
Upon registration on the eSHRAM Portal, the employee will get an eSHRAM card with a special 12 digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and will be able to get admission to the benefits of a variety of social security schemes via this Card somewhere anytime.
eSHRAM Portal will help in the introduction of a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW).
Liberalisation of Drones Rules
The central authorities have notified the Drone Rules 2021, a much more liberalised regime for unmanned plane systems than what existed previously.
Highlights:
Digital sky platform – Developed as a business-friendly single-window on-line system.
No flight permission required upto four hundred toes in inexperienced zones and upto 200 toes in the place between 8 and 12 km from the airport perimeter.
No pilot licence required for micro drones (for non-commercial use), nano drones and for R&D organisations.
No limit on drone operations by using foreign-owned agencies registered in India.
Import of drones and drone factors to be regulated by way of DGFT.
No protection clearance required before any registration or licence issuance.
No requirement of certificates of airworthiness, special identification number, prior permission and remote pilot licence for R&D entities.

National Sports Day – 29th August
